In August 1999, he joined the Kyushu regional subsidiary of an independent venture securities firm, where he was engaged in IPO support services. In July 2009, he spun off a subsidiary company through an MBO and became the representative director. In 2014, he organized a startup event "StartupGo! Go!" with volunteers. In January 2016, he established StartupGoGo as a general incorporated association and became the representative partner. (current position). In April 2019, he established Kyushu Open Innovation Fund.
He joined So-net (currently Sony Network Communications) in 2005. He has overseen business strategy development, M&A, subsidiary listing support, and venture investments, and has served as an investee company officer. In 2016, he joined the Sony Innovation Fund as a founding member, and has been leading investment activities in Japan and globally, focusing on Fintech, Logistics, etc. He is also involved in engagement and business development between startups and the Sony Group as well as outside the Group. Major investments to date: Safie, WealthNavi, Linc'well, Hacobu, Tier IV, RevComm, TRUSTDOCK, Arkose Labs (US), Scandit (Switzerland), Identiq (Israel), Slice (India), etc. (India), etc.
